Pay: $2,486 to $2,566 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 36 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (MLS/MT) – Rapid Response Crisis Contract Location: Hamilton, Montana Start Date: March 30, 2026 Contract Duration: 36 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist for a rapid response crisis contract . The selected candidate will perform laboratory testing on biological specimens, analyze results, and report findings to physicians to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. The role requires strong technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens using approved laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Analyze and interpret laboratory results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers. Maintain daily operations of the clinical laboratory and ensure compliance with quality control procedures. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Prepare and collect specimens for laboratory analysis. Ensure proper documentation of laboratory procedures and patient results within the EMR system. Follow all laboratory safety protocols and infection control standards. Assist with laboratory inventory management and reagent preparation when required. Laboratory Areas Experience may include, but is not limited to: Microbiology Clinical Chemistry Hematology Immunology Transfusion Medicine Toxicology Molecular Diagnostics Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist. Active State License (if applicable). Strong clinical laboratory knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment.
